Each autumn, the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) hosts its premier annual event, the Conference on International Governance Innovation, gathering approximately 200 leading experts and policymakers from Canada and around the world to discuss possible solutions to the issues raised by its research.

A Moment of Truth: Towards Sustainable Energy Futures?

This event is by invitation only.

CIGI'07 will explore issues related to energy and the role of international governance institutions in addressing environmental sustainability. This year's event is held in partnership with CIGI, the University of Waterloo and the Royal Society of Canada (the country's leading assembly of academic researchers), marking the 5th, 50th, and 125th anniversaries respectively of these institutions.

CIGI is an international research institution, founded to identify and develop ideas for global change. CIGI works to support research, foster exchange across disciplines, and provide informed advice to decision-makers on multilateral governance issues. It has quickly grown to produce a number of research publications and conference programs of international calibre and reach.
